Blakey (October 11, 1919 - died. October 16 , 1990 [1]), also known as Abdullah Ibn Buhaina - American drumme r and composer, leader of the band the Jazz Messengers. In additi on to Kenny s Clarke ai Max Roach co-founder of the modern bebo powego style of drumming jazz. Also regarded as one of the most outstanding representatives of the American hard bop. His style, full of blues and funk inspirations had a huge impact on both his contemporaries and later artists such as jazz.
